Arduino is wired straight to the panels, but in the original config it
went thru this midplane board.
The midplane splits the data from the original CPU into the panels in that
sign, and also to the DB25 that passes it to the next sign.
Some of it obvious that it should work easily, but attempts to drive more
than one didn't work.
Probably a matter of looking up the chip #s, and drawing otu what they do
on a white board or paper. Should all be buffers to help keep the signal
clean.
Another big ? is, does the arduino have enough power to receive data on
serial while keeping the sign refreshed, or will it glitch if it's picking
up incoming data.
