Hahaha. Standard Oil and Ma Bell sure kicked ass as companies. Also, I'm preeeetttty sure ARPANET and the Internet originated based on government, rather than corporate desires and needs. Corporations jumped on the bandwagon once there was money in it, but not before.
We're fucked either way.
