Derp.

Man up.  Buy a business-class connection, where you can negotiate 
your terms.  Imposing your will on a company trying to provide decent 
service to a fickle consumer base ain't a walk in the park.

FWIW, the current administration hasn't changed that.  See: DTV 
transition delay that benefitted only Sprint (at the expense of Verizon).
