NAVSISA is acquiring Contractor Support Services (CSS)

for an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to provide on-site services in

support of Navy Legacy Applications/Systems and the Navy Marine Corps

Internet (NMCI) network. This position is located in NAVSISA RCSSG, FISC

Norfolk, VA.

GIAC Security Essentials Certification(GSEC)

The Contractor shall ensure that personnel accessing information systems
have

the proper and current information assurance certification to perform

information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M,
Information

Assurance Workforce Improvement Program. The Contractor shall meet the

applicable information assurance certification requirements, including:

(1) DoD-approved information assurance workforce certifications appropriate

far each category and level as listed in the current version of DoD *
8570.01-M*

(2) Appropriate operating system certification for information assurance

technical positions as required by DoD 8570.01-M.

(a) Upon request by the Government, the Contractor shall provide

documentation supporting the information assurance certification status of

personnel performing information assurance functions.

(b) Contractor personnel who do not have proper and current

certifications shall be denied access to DoD information systems for the

purpose of performing information assurance functions.

*Qualifications/ Experience: *The contractor must have three years

experience and shall be capable of working independently and possess
in-depth

knowledge and experience of the following: current internet/intranet

design/operations; various server operating systems such as Windows NT,

Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, HP-UNIX,

Solaris, CITRIX and Terminal Server, network standards/protocols, local

network capabilities and applications and network equipment including
Netware

servers, Windows NT/2000/2003 servers, transmission media and related

hardware/software, local NMCI environment and legacy applications/systems

specified in Section 3.0 of this PWS. Contractor must also have experience
in

Microsoft Office Professional Applications (WORD, Excel, Access, Outlook).
