All,

I routinely work/stay in Crystal City.. the Marriott's have gone
up ;-) Lowest i've ever gotten there in the last few years is $269,
and as high as 400+, hopefully with all that's going on, prices have
gone down.

There are some places off of the Springfield metro w/in walking
distance that we stay at when we have work weekends up there. There
are also some decent hotels in the Rosslyn area that we've stayed at
in the lower hundred range. I can get you the names of the places if
you're interested. I also have lots of friends in the area .. that
might be able to put you up if you get stuck. I will be driving
because I am having to bring a bunch of stuff up ( taking a large
covered trailer so if anyone has anything they want moved for the 'con
and are willing to pitch for the parking/fuel .. lemme know. ) Anyone
is welcome to ride up .. i think I have at least 2 seats open .. and
perhaps 3 .. might have to suffer listening to a mix of Rush, Broadway
and Anime music ;-)

Else, from the tidewater area, I know quite a few that are taking the
early train up. The 94 train leaves NPN at 9:10 and arrives at Union
at 1:30.. If it stops at springfield or king street ( mostly at the
conductors discretion ) .. you can get about 35 mins back and take the
blue line up... and cross over to Woodley. ( Going thru union takes a
while .. quite a walk from the trains to the metro. ) The 95 train
leaves Union at 2:30 on sunday.. so you have to boogie if you're gonna
use it to get home. You can also take the 66 up the night before ..
arrives 8:25 at WAS. it's WAY cheaper to train than to pay parking ..
tho wiht gas 1/2 what it was .. that might make it break even ;-)

Theresa: re: Heidi, I can ask her for ya if you want. They've been
*Slammed* With the fiasco from the ticket sales. Talked to her this
week and they've been quite harried.. so don't be surprised if she's
slow to respond.
