Yep, to make it go we need readers and cards and what not.

Jody has a reader on the way that can talk a protocol it understands.

I dunno how the LED signalling stuff works. I mean, I know a command is 
pushed down the wire to change the LED status to tell the user whats up, 
just not sure if his reader will do that.

If you look on ebay there are HID card readers w/ PIN number pads and 
stuff. I guess it'd be good to look at the board and figure out what it 
supports. I'm not totally up on access control stuff, the only thing I've 
ever done is looked into hooking HID readers to PCs.

(HID is a brand, Wiegand is one of the protocols).

Board is a Northern Computers N-1000-IV. It has inputs for 2 doors, no 
daughtercard for the extra 2.

It has direct RS232 or 422 or something, unlike the older ones.
