[757labs] Whats new with the labs (Sunday, end of feb)

What I have to report:

We've got an offer for free cubicles. 3 of them, nothing huge. Will have 
to take action rapidly to take advantage of it. Not exactly sure where 
they will go.

MarkG gave us 3 dead LCD monitors. Two combined have made one working 
one! This is great news. (Basically pulled PSU board from one that looked 
to have issues with the display or backlights and put it in the one that 
had PSU issues.)

Made progress with skill crane, it's ready for a software update and what 
not, and then should be back online shortly (once we figure out how 
exactly it worked :-)

Kind of forgot about building out the CNC mill. But it would be good to do 
so. If anyone wants to get involved with that, let me know. I've owned 
most of the parts and got one remaining bit (The controller board) about a 
month ago.


HRGeeks ][ - anyone want to present? I might whip up something short on 
the AMX stuff. I dig it, but have heard others ask why not homegrown Linux 
automation solution. So I can explain the advantages and disadvantages. 
But want to keep it pretty short.

Derez mentioned doing a software reversing night. This could be fun for 
those interested in the inner workings of computers.

Haven't picked a night for the microcontroller hackery yet. Nor the Dev 
House code jam type thing. Need to keep stuff somewhat spread out.

Anyone else have anything? I'm sure I'm missing things.
