So I've always wanted to build one, I finally have the space/budget to build one. I'm looking for a partner to help with the construction. I'm pretty good with electronics (i've wired most of my house, I built a carputer with touch LCD in my golf). I would like to find someone that understands electrical schematics, and is comfortable working from them (and working with high voltage). Let's face it, this will be safer with two people. The plans I came upon are for a 12" arc, beginner coil... I can purchase the materials, and supply the work area... just need someone who wants to work on it with me.

email if interested in having a sweet youtube video of you with a mediocre tesla coil, while only risking death from electric shock:

Did you enlist an evil assistant to help with this project?

The hovering electro-static flyer seems to be the latest project I am curious about, but with either of these projects I have to ask, "What do you do with a [blank] when it is finished?"

Example: Could you transmit energy across the room with two or more Tesla Coils or even from one end of the house to the other?  That could be a project goal that might call for a couple smaller coils rather than one big one.
