HR-2600: Meeting Summary for December 4, 2009
by enferex on Dec.06, 2009, under Geek Meets, hr2600
As in the past, we converged upon a table, or two, within the food court of the mall. As I arrived the meeting was already rocking, in attendance was Sunpuke, Jody, Tele, Remad, Dave, and myself. (Order derived from where I was sitting and iterating in a clockwise fashion). Fun meeting, as we did become like a pack of nomads in search of collaboration and variety, we decided to move the meeting to Kelly’s (also in the mall), which is open late, and allowed people with a penchant for the distilled beverage to imbibe. The meeting continued until midnight, and then disbanded.
Overall, the meeting was great, and I think the moving from the food-court was a great decision, and just goes to show that pseudo-random variety can enhance the social efforts of a group, as was seen by this possibly being the longest running HR-2600 episode. So… a buttload, yes, is a unit of measure. But, is there a platinum SI unit for this?

HR-2600: Metting Summary for November 6, 2009
by enferex on Nov.07, 2009, under hr2600
Zoiks Shaggy! Nice turn-out out tonight, rather, last night. But time… can I impose some kind of restriction on a dimension I have seemingly little control over. Time is a human definition of some, pretty abstract, thing. So the order of sitting, while it does mutate during the course of the meeting, was at one time:
Tele, Remad, Paul’s girl, Paul, RD, Sunpuke, and myself.
And what was the topic of choice……… sensitive dependence on initial conditions (a definition of Chaos Theory). In other words, we had no planned topics, but we found enough order to communicate as a group. Also, the Bat Phone is no more, a Blackberry was dissected, pill-containers can hold lots of Torx, and corn own3s us.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for October 3, 2009
by enferex on Oct.03, 2009, under hr2600
Prime number off attendees. Of course, all meetings start like that, 1, 2, 3, ….. 5. 5 attendees ahhh hah hah (Count from Sesame Street). Those attendees being Remad, Tele, Wallybert, MarkG, and myself. It was a good meeting, with little if any cross-talk. Some discussion on previous Shmoos and HOPEs, along with some mention of this upcoming years Shmoo and HOPE. No need to elaborate any further, but did any one-catch what those illuminated jelly-looking things were at the Last HOPE?

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for September 4, 2009
by enferex on Sep.05, 2009, under 757labs, hr2600, website
Nice, chill, meeting this week. Lots of great talk and there was really little contention for talking. In attendance was Mark G, Paul, a brieeeefff appearance by Paul’s wife, the Spawn of Jody, Jody, Sunpuke, Remad, and myself. Some interesting discussions came up, such as music, queuing theory and its relation to real life, and table-to-chair-hight ratios. Short summary, however that factor should not be a testament to the meeting and its content. We stayed ’till kicked out. Ok, so “kicking-out” is a tad rough, we were nicely advised that the mall was closed.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for August 7, 2009
by enferex on Aug.08, 2009, under hr2600
Yeah, nice turn out. So this month, we had a really good attendance. But attendance does not matter so much, it is not like we are a cult and seek some kind of monetary profit from attendance. Rather, we seek intellectual contributions as a profit, thus mere attendance is not a function of output. However, attendance does provide a greater probability that unique discussions will surface. Even though we now center along-side a linear table, as opposed to a circular design, we can still have a great meeting. The turnout was quite interesting, we had, assuming the table is a graph and starting from the back edge, the nodes of communications were: Ninja Gumby, Ian, Jody, Skhisma, Mr Geeeeeee (with his eeeeEeeEeee) or at least a netbook of some form, cdated, Tom, RD, Grey, Dave, Tele, Remad, and myself. For some reason I feel like I’m missing a node, so if that is the case, just drop a comment. Aside from attendance, Tele was workin’ his stereo, that tried to eject itself earlier in the day; and Remad brought a great magazine that, some of us Conspiracy nuts *cough*me*cough*, really enjoyed. And no Sunpuke? Most of us figured he was probably either hanging out with Slayer, or at a metal show.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for July 3, 2009
by enferex on Jul.04, 2009, under hr2600
Quite a nice gathering this month, and that does not include the Twitter meetup, whom planed their meeting to coincide with ours. We still had a nice turn out. of our own. In attendance was Poseidon, Dave, Jody, the Spawn of Jody, Mark, Paul, Tele, Sunpuke, Remad, Derez, and myself. One of the people from the other meetup decided to hang with us for a while.
All in all, the meeting accomplished the dissemination of information in various forms. Information? Surely as we communicate, not all information is meaningful. Some might consider that if we try to reverse the Second Law of Thermodynamics (reverse entropy), and obtain meaning out of nothing, we might find a result of rather comical and potentially useful ideas. So how does that even pertain to what we talked about? No clue, but if we change our view of the discourse, we might arrive at neat conclusions. As you might have noticed, I tend not to actually elude much to our discussions here. So much is communicated, that creating a summary would be rather exhausting. So, really, we have no agenda, aside from just hanging out and being human.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for May 1, 2009
by enferex on May.02, 2009, under hr2600
Allright! May 1, and we still had a crowd. In attendance (initial seating order, no we are not sheeple) was RD, Dane, Dane’s Wife’s Eeeeeeeee, Dave, Sunpuke, Beck, and myself. Okokok, so an Eee does not really constitute as a living being, or does it? Since we only have a vague idea of what constitutes life…. probably has some carbon in there too.
The meeting was great, mall was quiet, and only a handful of people had their protective respiration masks on (ok actually no one had a mask on afaik). There was lots of talk. And talk of? Ahh many topics, I balk at providing actual topic data since. Anyways, even though we were not at a single round-table, our linear table arrangement worked well by leaving a gap between the tables. A linear configuration does not necessarily strengthen communication between nodes, as if we were some graph; However, our graph morphs by letting the nodes move around, and we can control the ordering and amplitude of our voices to accomplish the goals of expressing thoughts. This assumes that words really are a medium that is sufficient for exposing all data in a thought.
Where was tele? He caught up with the Raleigh 2600 crew, so hopefully they had a cool time too.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for April 3, 2009
by enferex on Apr.04, 2009, under hr2600
Wow, probably one of the shortest 2600 meetings ever. That was not a bad thing per-se, as many of us had plans that occurred around the same time. What this does suggest is the dedication of people coming out. Even though some had plans, people still tucked away the meeting in their agenda. This month, the attendance was, in clock-wise order from where I sat: tele, cdated derez, x17root, Justin, Dave, remad, and myself.
Sunpuke did not make it out, as he was scoring some most-leet seats at the Jewish Mother, for a concert, to which a few of us attended. “Most-leet seats you say Bill?” … “That’s right Ted!” … “wiggly wiggly weeewwww!” (Bill and Ted reference), and their most non-bodacious dudical vernacular. Till next month?, keep it out of the middle endian.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for March 6, 2009
by enferex on Mar.07, 2009, under hr2600
Appears that the Pembroke location is the spot for the meets! Chill atmosphere. Plus, I think it is more central for people. I should also mention, while we did have one attendee last month (Shmoo month) he could not find the meeting. We will not preclude him from attendance, as he was there in effort. That situation was possibly because most attendees were at Shmoo. Aside from that, last meeting was the 6 year anniversary, so we did have attendance, in some state of searching.
In attendance (in seating order) this month was Remad, Charles, Dane, Andrew, Tele, Dave, Erik, Sunpuke, Justin, and myself. Lots of talk. Once the mall closed, which they don’t seem to mind us staying there after closing, we decided, on our own decision, to move things outside some more.

HR-2600: Meeting Summary for February 6, 2009
by enferex on Feb.12, 2009, under hr2600
6 years old! This month adds another ring to the tree of HR 2600. I have yet to really get much feedback from this month’s meeting, as some of us did not attend due to being at Shmoocon. If anyone has feedback pertaining to the meeting (if it even was held) please post a comment.
